You just need to glance at my Instagram to realise I have an obsession with peanut butter, so when I received a delivery of Whey Protein from Decibel Nutrition, it was only right that I experimented with recipes.
Protein balls are all over healthy eating Instagram accounts, Pinterest and recipe books now; but for a good reason. If you’re in need of a small snack to grab and go, whilst increasing your protein intake for the day, what would be better than little bites of heaven?!
I do promote a high protein intake for both fat loss and muscle bulking, but people like me who don’t hit their targets just from food intake, drinking protein shakes every day can become a bit repetitive and boring. These peanut butter protein balls are super easy and unlike most protein/energy ball recipes – they don’t contain dates!! YAY!!
Peanut Butter Protein Balls
2 Scoops of Vanilla Protein (I used Decibel Nutrition Madagascan Vanilla Whey)
1 Cup of flaked oats
1/2 Cup of Smooth Peanut Butter (I use Pip and Nut)
1/4-1/2 Cup of Runny Honey (Depending on how sweet you like it)

Measure your ingredients (minus the coconut) into a mixing bowl and stir until it become a sticky consistency. In order to get the honey and peanut butter throughout the mixture, I tend to pour half in first, mix, and then the rest.
Once fully mixed, scoop up a small amount of the mixture and roll into a ball – my mixture made approximately 10, but get rolling and decide on how big or little you like them!
Once you’ve rolled them all out, grab a bowl and add your coconut, roll each ball round until they’re covered on the outside and looking delicious!
Pop them in the fridge for 20 minutes (if you can wait that long), then eat away and relax!
