Motivation Troubles

I’m having one of those weeks where my motivation is at it’s lowest and I’m trying everything to keep going.

My four week progress photo wasn’t exactly the motivational difference that I was hoping for and it’s thrown me off a bit.

However, I’m trying my best to turn this into a way to push myself even more. My plans to get up and start working out in the mornings has not happened this week but I’ve made sure I’ve still gone in the evenings and worked as hard as possible.

When I have a lack of motivation and feel like things aren’t happening as quickly as I’d like, I remind myself of a few things…

  1. I may as well carry on, the time will pass either way
  2. Progress takes time! I’ve already noticed a difference in my strength, and it may not be overly visible to the eye, it will eventually show.
  3. Use it as a way to push myself even more, up my workouts, concentrate on my daily diet and remind myself i’m working as hard as possible.

Week five workouts have really stepped up a notch but I’ve stayed on track and my next aim is notice a visible difference after week 8. I’ve added more swimming into my LISS training as I find it really relaxing but a really good workout.

It’s hard to stay motivated all the time but if I choose to skip workouts, I’ll regret it even more!
